MOSAIZM is a collective of ten young international mosaic-artists who graduated from Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli in Spilimbergo (Italy) between 2001 and 2006 where the idea of forming a group and working together was born. After different personal work experiences the association was founded in the spring of 2006 and the first group exposition took place at Saint-Germain de Confolens (France) in the summer of that same year. MOSAIZM uses the knowledge of ancient techniques and materials to (re)invent new subjects and styles, expressing contemporary matters of the heart and the spirit. MOSAIZM wants mosaic to travel, grow and let it be an art that stands on itself as well as an applied art in architecture and design. In between expositions the ten single members of MOSAIZM work on individual projects and in collaboration throughout Europe.
